Simon Gilbert

Simon Gilbert sang with Scottish Opera for 2 seasons back in the 70s with Joan Sutherland in Haydn’s Orfeo and Luciano Pavarotti in I Capuletti e I Montecchi.

He was also leading man to both Ginger Rogers in Mame at The Drury Lane Theatre and Cleo Lane in Showboat at The Adelphi.

He was the singing voice for Peter O'Toole in The United Artistes' film, Man Of La Mancha. This was specifically for the great song “The Impossible Dream”, though he sang the entire soundtrack for him.
